President
Responsibilities
Along with MD and BM, be the final decision maker on certain high level/important group issues
Attend monthly Officer meetings
Attend quarterly meetings with BM and Marketing Committee to plan upcoming projects and discuss marketing strategy
Ensure that appropriate forums are offered for members to voice their likes/dislikes of the group
Help mediate issues among members and create an open dialogue when problems arise
Maintain general group organization with email reminders, gig information, news updates, etc.
Monitor attendance and address any issues with poor attendance
Network with other a cappella groups and performers to build relationships and learn of performance opportunities
Offer leadership and support not only during rehearsals, but for the long term in charting the group's future
Play the role of confidential sounding board for members of the group, bring general concerns to MD, Assistant MD(s), and BM
Provide (non-musical) process/organizational structure for the group, including but not limited to: overseeing management of song selection, overseeing elections, maintaining descriptions of all positions within the group, etc.
Work with BM to assist in any disputes, sensitive situations, attendance problems, etc.
Work with Treasurer to make group financial decisions and have access to the group's bank account (as well as the Treasurer, BM, and MD)
Business Manager
Responsibilities
Act as point person for the majority of gigs, including liasoning with our on site contact, providing gig details, directions, etc., and collecting payment (unless the member who booked a specific gig wants to handle it - this can be decided on an individual gig basis)
Attend monthly Officer meetings
Attend quarterly meetings with President and Marketing Committee to plan upcoming projects and discuss marketing strategy
Lead the weekly business portion of rehearsals and keep the group on track to accomplishing its goals by following up on business items
Maintain general group organization with email reminders, gig information, news updates, etc.
Maintain online Capital Blend tracking spreadsheet
Maintain the Gig Contact Info tab on the spreadsheet, adding new contacts when necessary
Maintain tracking spreadsheet and ensure everyone is updating their availability in a timely manner
Provide (non-musical) process/organizational structure for the group, including but not limited to: overseeing management of song selection, overseeing elections, maintaining descriptions of all positions within the group, etc.
Take notes during officer meetings and send them out to the Officers after that evening’s meeting. Send out emails to the group recapping decisions made and action items that were discussed at the meeting
Update the Google Calendar with gigs, birthdays, social events, etc.
Work with Treasurer to make group financial decisions and have access to the group's bank account (as well as the Treasurer, President, and MD)
Marketing Committee
Marketing Lead
Responsibilities
Attend monthly Officer meetings

Collect and archive copies/clips etc. of articles and other media coverage
Proactively establish and maintain effective relationships with other a cappella groups and organizations
Proactively search for new performance opportunities
Provide regular updates and photos for the website to ensure it is kept fresh at all times
Maintain Facebook website
Add events for upcoming performances
Add pictures of events and get togethers
Perform maintenance as necessary (announcements, profile, etc.)
Maintain the Gig Contact Info tab on the spreadsheet, adding new contacts when necessary
Maintain Twitter account
Responsible for publicizing the group’s upcoming events such as gigs, auditions, and concerts
Publicity Lead
Responsibilities
Attend monthly officer meetings
Coordinate graphic design for official letterhead, create high resolution photographs for the website, and standardize the logo
Have display material at hand to form displays at outside venues for occasional use
Maintain contacts with local press and respond to any national inquiries
Prepare press releases to report and promote appropriate news and events
Proactively establish and maintain effective relationships with other a cappella groups and organizations
Proactively search for new performance opportunities
Responsible for publicizing the group’s upcoming events such as gigs, auditions, and concerts
Review and update general publicity materials such as leaflets, posters, etc.

Responsibilities
Attend quarterly meetings with President and BM to plan upcoming projects and discuss marketing strategy
Manage new member recruitment
Reply to audition inquiries with information on the group and the audition process
Forward the potential auditionee’s reply to the MD so she can schedule an audition time
Proactively establish and maintain effective relationships with other a cappella groups and organizations
Proactively search for new performance opportunities
Responsible for publicizing the group’s upcoming events such as gigs, auditions, and concerts
Social Chair
Responsibilities
Attend monthly Officer meetings
Keep track of important dates (such as birthdays) and coordinate celebrations of special events and occasions
Plan, in conjunction with Treasurer and President, group retreats
Routinely plan events outside of rehearsal that allow for group bonding time
Technical Director / Sound Engineer
Responsibilities
Identify opportunities to record songs at rehearsal and facilitate the process
Oversee technical direction of the group, including:
Coordinating tech at gigs
Managing recording opportunities
Sourcing and maintaining sound system
Treasurer
Responsibilities
Attend monthly Officer meetings
Balance Capital Blend bank account
Buy new folders for Capital Blend members
Collect Dues from Capital Blend members
Keep track of Capital Blend Income and Expenses
Reimburse members for appropriate charges
